Workaround Steps
These steps must be applied on each affected workstation. A video walkthrough is also available below.
- Sign in as an Administrator on the affected PC.
- Download and extract the ZIP file you downloaded above to a local folder (e.g.,
C:\Users\<You>\Downloads\MS_Ink_Fix\
). - Right-click MS_Ink_Fix.bat and choose Run as administrator.
- Accept any Windows security/UAC prompts by choosing Yes/Allow.
- The Command Prompt will run and close automatically when finished.
- A log file named install_ink_log.txt is created in the same folder.
- Open it and confirm you see lines stating: “Assembly successfully added to the cache.”
- Restart ClearDent and open Charting.
If Charting opens normally, the issue is resolved on that workstation. Repeat these steps for any other affected PCs.
